When To Start Potty Training
One of the questions I’m asked quite a bit is when to start potty training. The answer is simple - When Your Child Is Ready!
Recognizing when that’s the case is the hard part, but there are quite a few telltale signs. Keep and eye out for these and when you start seeing a few of them, give it a try. You can always stop potty training and wait a few more weeks if you feel like your child isn’t as ready as you thought.
Signs that your child may be ready for potty training:
- He tells you that he peed or pooped in his diaper
- She feels visibly uncomfortable in a wet or soiled diaper
- He can pull his pants up and down on his own
- She shows interest in you (or other family members) using the toilet
If you notice any of these…go ahead and give potty training a try.
